I am sure most have seen this already, but for those that have not. It has been delayed and will not be out until the first of January, there goes one of the best Xmas gifts ever!

Major Nelson: Limited Edition Star Wars Console

Today, during a panel presentation at the 41st annual Comic-Con International, Xbox and LucasArts unveiled the first custom Xbox 360 console with Kinect featuring a limited edition Star Wars theme inspired by the beloved duo, R2-D2 and C-3PO, as well as the brand-new Podracing mode featured in the upcoming title Kinect Star Wars.

Here are the details for the bundle

Xbox 360 Limited Edition Kinect Star Wars Bundle

This first ever custom Xbox 360 and Kinect bundle includes an R2-D2 blue-and-white themed console, a custom Xbox 360 Wireless Controller inspired by C-3PO and the first ever white Kinect sensor. The bundle is set to debut alongside Kinect Star Wars this holiday, but is available now for pre-order through participating retailers. Priced at $449.99, the Xbox 360 Limited Edition Kinect Star Wars Bundle will include:

While I'd be sorely tempted to buy the console, I've spoken to people who have tested the game and it appears to be an 'on-rails' shooter, wherein you are basically limited in your movement options, instead moved by the game through the content.

Imagine the MiB ride at Disney World, where the ride takes you on a specified path and you simply shoot at things along the way. The game is similar to that, but with lightsabers and Force Push

Not to say I'm not still going to buy it, but I'm setting my expectations lower than normal.

I'm deffinately getting it. We (my wife & I) only have a handful of games for our 360 (halo anniv edition, golden eye, rabbids unleashed, and a few others). We have a ton for the ps2. Even if it is a specific path (even like Halo to a point) it's still going to be fun. Beats using a cardboard tube or pvc pipe as a saber.

I wish they'd just sell the controllers, C3PO and R2D2
just think how many people would have to buy new controllers (2 in fact)
just to have them both, that's $100 per person ...
a lot of $$

btw, is goldeneye fun?
loved it on the old 64 system ... 4 player still?

We traded in all our Wii stuff and threw down for this bundle. It is AWESOME! It makes R2-D2 sounds when you turn it on and off and open and close the disc tray. Inside the disc tray is written the words "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, You're my only hope." Kinect Star Wars is probably the coolest Star Wars game ever in my opinion. With yourself as the controller, you use the Kinect to adventure as a Jedi (complete with use of lightsaber, full range of force powers, force dash and force jump), you can smash through Star Wars cities as an angry Rancor, dance for your life for Jabba the Hutt and join the pod racing circuit. Most of the modes are two player, and make for loads of fun. A whole room can play, as the Kinect has facial recognition software and is voice activated, giving you a fully immersive experience.

It's AWESOME!

Haven't thought about that, but now I have... and will think about getting this going soon.

Thanks for the idea, Tony!
