Still Working on the Bucks - July 30, 2006

Once again, a huge delay in producing these molds. We haven't worked on the project in two months. Weather was once again the cause. Oklahoma recorded 30+ days of +100 degree weather. The other month that we didn't work on this project...temperatures were in the high 90's. The day these pics were taken was actually one of the "cooler" low 90's days.

Anyway...we had a pretty productive day. Still sanding and forming the molds. Worked on (seen in the pictures) the lower back/butt, chest and the ab/crotch pieces. All the other "finished" foam bucks were sanded again and the pits filled. We also modifed and rounded some of the molds to make them more accurate. If you look at the thigh back from our last "party" (the middle mold in the front)

and the thigh back from today (top shelf)

you can really see the "rounding" I'm talking about. We've pretty much been doing alot of tweaking on the molds.

Also, I purchased the wood for the vacuum table the weekend before. So in one of the pictures you can see the vacuum form table taking shape. It's 30x30. I plan on being able to use 30x30 and 24x24 frames for the plastic. I still need to put another piece of MDS on top, drill the vacuum hole and add some more bracing.

All in all, a pretty productive day. Also, if you noticed, I got a "new" shelf for the bucks at a garage sale on my street for $10. So I now have a "safe" place to keep them all.
